Honoring Every Life. Supporting Every Heart.

My journey to becoming a pet loss doula began with the loss of my beloved cat, Mimi.

After sharing 15 wonderful years together, her passing left a profound silence in my life and opened my eyes to the emotional, practical, and deeply personal challenges that accompany saying goodbye to a cherished companion.

As I navigated that experience, I became increasingly aware of the gaps in support available to families facing the end of a pet’s life. While there are many resources devoted to medical care, there is often far less guidance for the grief, uncertainty, and deeply personal decisions that families carry through this process.

At the same time, I recognized something that has been present throughout my life: a strong pull toward compassionate service.

I have always found meaning in supporting others through difficult transitions—offering a calm presence, a listening ear, and practical help when it is needed most. The experience of losing Mimi transformed that instinct into a calling.

My work with cats, both personally and as a professional sitter and caregiver, has taught me the importance of patience, respect, careful observation, and meeting each animal exactly where they are.

I believe every cat deserves to be treated with dignity, comfort, and love throughout every stage of life—and every family deserves compassionate support as they navigate anticipatory grief, end-of-life decisions, and the mourning that follows.

Becoming a pet loss doula allows me to bring together my deep love for cats, personal experience with loss, and commitment to compassionate service.

It is an honor to help families feel less alone during one of the most difficult parts of loving a companion animal, while honoring the extraordinary bond they share.
